At Celler Cercavins we have started the harvest of our most early variety, the Chardonnay, distributed among the more than 90ha of vineyards that the winery has.
Our grapes are harvested mostly by hand by our workers throughout the day and the rest with specialized machines at night.
Then all this grape is transferred to our winery where the whole process of production and elaboration of our white wines will begin.
This year, according to a study by the Generalitat de Catalunya, a good and quality harvest is expected in the vast majority of Catalan D.O. This is due to the fact that this year the vines have a large number of grapes and this has been achieved thanks to the disappearance of the Mildew virus, which during the year 2020 affected a large part of the wine plantation throughout the territory.
